Do dogs ever get hurt? is MPH prepared in case of an illness or injury?

Similar to children on a playground, it’s possible for dogs to sustain very minor injuries while at a dog daycare. During normal play, a dog may get small scratches, nicks, or lose a bit of fur. More serious injuries are very rare. For additional peace of mind, If serious treatment is needed, we will rush your pup to your personal vet or the emergency vet if your vet is unavailable.

This is an environment that has dogs of different sizes. Is it safe for my smaller dog to be there?

For safety, we separate dogs into play areas based on their size, temperament, and activity level.

Do I need to make a reservation? How do I make a reservation?

Yes, a reservation is needed for daycare, and we recommend making it early. Please ensure your pup meets our pet onboard standards to make a reservation. Depending on the time of year, we can sometimes accommodate on short notice if your dog has previously completed the interview process. Holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas book several months in advance. we suggest booking early for weekends during the summer months. Please note we will require a deposit for the daycare service.

You can call Milo Pet Hotel during camp hours or request a reservation online through our Milo Pet Hotel web page online forms. One of our counselors will reach out to you to confirm your reservation.

Should I bring anything for my dog’s stay? Do I need to bring my own dog food?

We highly recommend that you bring your dog’s food in order to prevent them from getting sick during their stay. Sudden changes in diet can result in gastrointestinal reactions like vomiting and diarrhea. If the parent choose not to carry their dogs food, we do offer dry food, water and food bowls at an extra cost.
We also recommend to bring your dogs toys, or anything else that may make your pup feel more at home.

What is Milo Pet Hotel, spay/neuter policy?

Milo Pet Hotel requires that all dogs must be spayed or neutered at 7 months of age in order to receive daycare and boarding services.

  • Milo Pet Hotel understands that the choice to spay or neuter and at what age is a decision to be made for each individual dog and by the dog’s owner and veterinarian.

  • For safety in a play group, dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months of age to take part in boarding or day care services at Milo Pet Hotel.

  • As dogs reach sexual maturity, they are able to reproduce and hormonal changes occur that can alter behavior or may cause tension amongst other dogs within the group dynamic. This can impact the safety of all pups and is not advised for open play environments.
